What we do needs to be a spiritual effort as well as a human effort. We can do nothing without relying on the power of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer is essential for restoring the definition of marriage. Bishop Cordileone of San Diego reminds us to go to confession during this time and to make it a special time of penance. Putting ourselves under the protection of Our Lady of Guadalupe, praying the rosary, offering hours of adoration are all powerful and important elements in this spiritual battle.
