Rosary for Priests On the Steps of a Cathedral Near You?

June 19, 10:00-10:30 AM

An independent and spontaneous prayer initiative for priests started by a small group of lay faithful in San Francisco, with the approval of the Archdiocese, is catching on. People will be gathering on the steps of Cathedrals in many dioceses at 10 AM-1030AM on June 19, to offer a Rosary for the priests to commemorate the end of the Year of the Priest. The list is growing.

Rosary for Priests is a spontaneous group for "laity who love our priests and the rosary, " according to their website. "We are friends and fellow Catholics. We are the ones next to you in the pew. We are not sponsored by any group — in fact we come from many groups within the church you will have heard of. We all agreed recently that the laity should come together in this way as Rosary for Priests: in encouragement, solidarity, thanksgiving, obedience, and love. We don’t seek or want any credit — all the credit is due Our Lord and our priests in this effort."

Join the effort and let Rosary for Priest know you will be participating in your diocese by contacting them at http://rosaryforpriests.org/?page_id=53.
