Attack on Pregnancy Centers in San Francisco NARAL Caught in Lie Large Turnout Sought for Oct. 18 Vote SAN FRANCISCO, September 29, 2011(update) -- The San Francisco Board of Supervisors, City Operations and Neighborhood Services Committee met on September 26, to consider legislation to put severe restrictions on pregnancy resource centers in the city. However, they ended up rejecting NARAL's claims that pregnancy resource centers engage in false and misleading advertising, the justification for the draft ordinance. They are unwilling to make a recommendation to the full board that will consider the matter on October 18. It was a small victory, but a large fight looms.
