Governor Signs AB 154 & AB 980 Compromises Women's Health SACRAMENTO, October 9, 2013 – Today, California Governor Jerry Brown signed both AB 154 and AB 980 into law. Both bills support Planned Parenhoods business plan at the expense of women's health. California voters opposed AB 154 (Atkins) by greater than 2-1 margin.
Trick Used to Revive CA Abortion by Non-Doctors Bill SB 1338 Reconsideration Hearing Monday, May 7 SAN FRANCISCO, May 3, 2012 -- Senator Christine Kehoe (D-San Diego), backed by the power of state Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento), is attempting a sneaky amendment to revive SB 1338, a bill to permit non-doctors to perform first trimester vacuum aspiration surgical abortions. The passage of the bill was blocked in the Senate Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee on a 4-4 vote last week that stunned the abortion lobby. Two Democrats voted against it.

Attack on Pregnancy Centers in San Francisco NARAL Caught in Lie Large Turnout Sought for Oct. 18 Vote SAN FRANCISCO, September 29, 2011(update) -- The San Francisco Board of Supervisors, City Operations and Neighborhood Services Committee met on September 26, to consider legislation to put severe restrictions on pregnancy resource centers in the city. However, they ended up rejecting NARAL's claims that pregnancy resource centers engage in false and misleading advertising, the justification for the draft ordinance. They are unwilling to make a recommendation to the full board that will consider the matter on October 18. It was a small victory, but a large fight looms. San Francisco Life Walk Outlasts Planned Parenthood SAN FRANCISCO, January, 14, 2010 -- On Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, the seventh annual Walk for Life West Coast will take place in San Francisco. The Walk was founded in 2005 by a group led by two San Francisco women, Dolores Meehan and Eva Muntean. The event quickly became the largest annual gathering of Catholics in San Francisco and perhaps on the West Coast. The 2010 Walk drew an estimated 35,000 to 40,000 pro-life marchers, led by eight Catholic bishops.
